FROM CAP Saturday, September 13th dawned on a foggy rainy morning. Many drove in showers and constant drizzle to get to the range. 25 brave souls participated in fast and furious stages with several bonus opportunities. Thanks to Marshall Morris and Miss Kitty for writing the scenarios. Flying birds and a bonus pistol target gave everyone a chance to reduce their stage times. The light mist continued off and on most of the morning, but is never was bad enough to require wearing raincoats. Thanks to Sue Dooley for the roast pork sandwiches, salad, cookies, bread, etc. at lunchtime. Once again she made a great hit with a bunch of hungry shooters. Congratulations to Coyote Kid, Miss Kitty Morris, and finally, to me for a clean match. We may have to have some remedial training on shotgun loading as Winchester 97’s work much better when you use the correct gauge shells. 16’s don’t work well in 12 gauge guns. I don’t want to point fingers, but if you want the rest of the story, check with Adie Belle. All in all I think everyone had fun in spite of the rain and mud. See you next time, God willing and the creek don’t rise. Cap P.S. Next time some should check the list below before leaving home. Guns Ammo List courtesy of Augsburg Kid Cart LEATHER |
