Saturday, September 22nd, started as a cool, somewhat wet morning as the heavy dew and previous day’s rain made for muddy footing. The day however turned into a beautiful sunny and warm time for fun. Sometimes the shooters seemed to be in a giddy mood and this was one of those times. Mosey West started the fun by making me (of course) the butt of the joke, with his “radar stun gun”. That said it seems that everyone, at least on posse 1 was more interested in joking and having fun then in shooting. I have never laughed so much during a shoot than I did Saturday. Granger Grannie managed to get a shell in backwards in the shotgun causing a problem. I of course was having fun making fun of her for doing so saying “the brass goes to the rear” and so forth. Apparently God has a way of putting us in our place when our mouth gets too big for our own good. The very next stage I did the same thing. People can be cruel as everyone got on me then. Ha ha you say one little thing and it really comes back to haunt you. Kingdom Kid laughed at me and then he got one in his rifle backwards. What can I say; it was just one of those days! I hate to think that just one more shoot and it’s over for the year. See you in October, God willing and the creek don’t rise. Cap

Our
September shoot brought beautiful weather and welcomed two new shooters, Bob Piehl and Blast . I wonder if Mosey reversed the Cap
motion sensor stun gun thingamajig and pointed it at me if I’d go faster. Quotes from Will Rogers: "We are all here
