COMMENTS FROM CAP

August 23rd turned out to be a beautiful day for almost any activity, but a super day to shoot.  The temperature was great and a slight breeze from the north made it perfect.

We had a good turn out with the farthest shooter traveling from Arizona.  37 shooters made fast work for the bad guys.

One new member joined the Zen Shootists with the potential for two more that enjoyed the day.

The stages were easy and fast except for stage 8 and boy did I hear about that.  You had to AIM!

Thanks to all for helping out at the recent work day back in June.  18 people showed up and that was terrific.

Special thanks to Marshall Morris (and I suspect Miss Kitty) for writing such good scenarios.  I really think it is Miss Kitty that likes those small bottles.

Remember the next shoot has been moved up two weeks so it will be on September 13th!

See you there, God willing and the creek don’t rise.

Once again the Zen Shootists came out to protect our town of Scorpion Gulch. We had help from F. Jossart SASS #81734 from the Arizona Yavapai Rangers in Cottonwood Arizona.  Iowa Bob SASS #58587 came from Garner, Iowa to shoot with us. Let’s give a big Scorpion Gulch welcome to Dale McIntosh and Steve Ellis, two new shooters whom came out to join us.

Come out and help us defend Scorpion Gulch at our next shoot Sept 13th.
