Serving SASS Cowboy Action Shooters since 1998

      April 25, 2009

Saturday, April 25th was cool and wet, just a beautiful day if you were a duck!  We had 35 shooters that were brave enough to show up and hang in there.

Six great stages and lots of laughs and fun were had by all.  It was quite a difference from the day before as Friday had reached a high of 84 degrees.  All and all though, much better than last April, no boats were needed this year.

We hurried right along, no break for lunch and got done, cleaned the range just in time as the rain started again.  I’m hopeful that one of these days we’ll have a nice day to shoot; can take our own time, have lunch and visit some afterwards.  These days with no lunch time, its real hard on us “thin” guys.  Not easy on old people either.   Any day shooting is a good day, some just better than others.

I have it from a very reliable source that June will be sunny and in the 70’s.  See you then, God willing and the creek don’t rise.

Cap

I’m glad Cap’s source is reliable, I’m ready fer sum shootin weather!  This month shootin with us fer the first time was Gunslinger Grace who is Flying Shootests daughter, and  they hail from Livermore Iowa . She’s a nice young lady and we had a blast shootin with her. Coming along with them to revisit us was Algona Tom.

Visiting from Missouri was Sassie Phire SASS #75509 and her husband Hot Dawg Honndo . Sassie was shootin for the first time and no rain could dampen her spirit. Also joining us for the first time was Lady Wolf.

See everybody at the next shoot on May 23rd.
